K-8000 / T-8000 Software: 8-Output SD-Card LED Controllers

Program K-8000 and T-8000 8-output SD-card LED controllers with LEDEdit Pro 2026: 8 outputs × 2,048 LEDs in the export profile, K-8000-ALL and T-8000B chip profiles, multi-port layouts and .led export.

The K-8000 / T-8000 family has eight outputs, which makes it the go-to choice for LED matrices, stage walls and facades that are too big for a single-output controller.

K-8000 / T-8000 in LEDEdit Pro 2026

  • 8 outputs with up to 2,048 LEDs per output in the export profile.
  • 9 chip profiles: K-8000-ALL RGB and T-8000B variants (WS2811 / WS2812, 1677, 1882, 6021, 6812, 6803, APA102).
  • Every port and its LED count is visible in the LED Layout Creator and in the export preflight.

Example: a 96 × 64 LED wall

PartLEDsOutputs
96 × 64 matrix, rows serpentine6,1443 outputs (2,048 each)
Two side pillars, 6 × 64 each7681 output
Floor strip, 2 × 3006001 output
Total7,5125 of 8 outputs

Set Max LEDs/port to 2048 in the Layout Creator. When you stamp the matrix with Pattern Builder, LEDs that no longer fit continue on the next port.

Tips

  • Keep each physical output on its own port number — p1 to p8 — so the file matches your wiring.
  • Use layers per zone (screen, pillars, floor) and paint their masks, as shown in the timeline guide.

Export .led files for K-8000 / T-8000

  1. Map your LEDs in the LED Layout Creator or import a DXF layout, with one port per controller output.
  2. Build the show with layers, clips and scenes on the timeline.
  3. Open Output → Export LEDEdit .led…, choose the K-8000 / T-8000 family and the chip type of your pixels.
  4. Check the preflight (controller, chip, colour order, scenes, frame rate, outputs, LEDs) and click Export.
  5. Copy the files to the SD card, or use Output → LEDEdit Tools → Write to SD Card….

Pick controller and chip; the preflight confirms everything before anything is written.
Controller does not play the file? Check family, chip and colour order. If it still fails, export DXF + AVI and build the .led in the free LEDEdit version that works with your controller — step-by-step guide.

FAQ

How many LEDs can a K-8000 / T-8000 drive?
The export profile has 8 outputs with up to 2,048 LEDs each — up to 16,384 LEDs in total, as long as every output stays within its limit.
Which chip profiles are available?
K-8000-ALL RGB, T-8000B WS2811 / WS2812, T-8000B-1677, -1882, -6021, -6812, -6803 and -APA102. A T-8000B-TLS profile is listed but not exported yet.
How do I split a big matrix over the outputs?
Use one port per output in the LED Layout Creator. Pattern Builder can stamp a matrix and continue on the next port when a port is full.
