T1K-512 DMX Controller Software: DMX512 and Pixel Chips

Program the T1K-512 DMX512 single-channel controller with LEDEdit Pro 2026: 19 chip profiles including UCS512B3/C3/C4, SM16512, WS2801, LPD6803, P9813 and RGBW, plus DMX address config export.

The T1K-512 is the DMX512 controller of the LEDEdit 2026 series: one output with up to 512 LEDs and chip profiles for DMX-addressable ICs such as UCS512 and SM16512, as well as classic SPI-style chips.

T1K-512 in LEDEdit Pro 2026

  • 1 output, up to 512 LEDs in the export profile.
  • 19 export-ready chip profiles, three of them RGBW (TM1914, TM1814, SM16704).
  • DMX address configuration export for fixtures that need addresses written.

Output → Export DMX Address Config… writes the DmxSet.led address files.

Example: architectural wall washers

Twenty DMX wall-wash fixtures along a facade, each with a UCS512 chip:

  1. Place one LED per fixture in the LED Layout Creator, in cable order.
  2. Build a slow colour show — Breathing Bands, Aurora Panel or palette chases work well for facades.
  3. Export the .led with the T1K-512 family and the UCS512 profile, and write the address config if your fixtures need it.

Tips

  • Keep fixtures in the same order as the DMX cable run.
  • Use Inspect .led File… to double-check an address file before you climb the ladder.

Export .led files for T1K-512

  1. Map your LEDs in the LED Layout Creator or import a DXF layout, with one port per controller output.
  2. Build the show with layers, clips and scenes on the timeline.
  3. Open Output → Export LEDEdit .led…, choose the T1K-512 family and the chip type of your pixels.
  4. Check the preflight (controller, chip, colour order, scenes, frame rate, outputs, LEDs) and click Export.
  5. Copy the files to the SD card, or use Output → LEDEdit Tools → Write to SD Card….

Pick controller and chip; the preflight confirms everything before anything is written.
Controller does not play the file? Check family, chip and colour order. If it still fails, export DXF + AVI and build the .led in the free LEDEdit version that works with your controller — step-by-step guide.

FAQ

Which chips does the T1K-512 profile support?
19 profiles: SM1670* / UCS19**, TM1809, SM16716, P9813, LPD6803, LX1003, WS2801, LPD1886, TM1914, P9883 / P943, TM1926, TM1829, TM1814, SM16512, UCS512B3, UCS512C3 / UCS512C4, WS2818A, WS2818B and SM16704.
How many LEDs per output?
Up to 512 on its single output in the export profile.
Can LEDEdit Pro write DMX address files?
Yes. Output → Export DMX Address Config… writes separate DmxSet.led address/config files, and Output → LEDEdit Tools → Inspect .led File… reads them back.
