Jinx! is developed by Live-LEDs.de and has evolved through years of active development. It provides a complete environment for controlling LED matrices in real time with an intuitive interface, powerful effect generators, and broad hardware support. The software is small, fast, and runs natively on Windows without requiring any additional runtimes.
Key Features
- 23 Effect Generators – Including audio-based effects (strobe, spectrum analyzer), image viewer with animated GIF support, AVI player, webcam support, scrolling text, raindrops/water ripple, and more
- 8 Effect Generators Simultaneously – 4 effect channels with 2 independent generators each, freely mixable and crossfadable
- Jinx!Script Engine – Write your own effects with a BASIC-like scripting language. Loops, conditions, subroutines, pixel-level drawing, audio triggers, and exportable config variables
- Regions – Assign a region (size and position) to every generator to divide your matrix into sections or build complex layered effects
- Scene Store – Save full (8 generators) or half (4 generators) scenes, crossfade between them
- Powerful Chase Engine – Build chases with stored scenes, auto scene fade mode
- Touchscreen-Friendly Show Mode – Play scenes and chases with an intuitive touch interface
